"be mine" Valentines Centerpiece

A little late, but it's still February. right?

I bought some miscellaneous wood pieces at Michaels and used them to make this Valentine's centerpiece with the February kit. It was such a fun project to make and it made my house look so festive during the holiday of love....:)

Éclair, Rose
Prima Ribbon
Bazzill Chipboard heart tag

Maya Road Chipboard birds

Other:
Ranger ink
Prima Say It in Crystals (from last month's kit)
Acrylic paint
Paper Studio acrylic letters
DMD crinkle paper
Darice wood products
Plaid modge podge and ZipDry

Directions:

- Paint the hearts and dowels brown

- Paint the wood base white

- Borrow hubby's electric drill and make holes the size of the dowels in the bottom of the painted hearts. Insert dowels into holes. (If hole is the same size as the dowel, you won't need adhesive)

Note: Some of you are going to fall of the train here because of the drill part - but DON'T!

It's not that hard AND it's a great way to take out some frustration...:)
- Adhere patterned paper to all hearts and cut out with an exacto knife

- Use a smaller stencil to cut out the heart with "mine" on it

- Paint acrylic letters brown and adhere them to a Prima Embossed heart. Add the posie and adhere this to the box

- Cut out the rest of your patterned paper embellishments for the hearts and adhere them, as well as the ready-to-go embellishments that come with the kit...decorate! decorate! decorate!

- Cut a block floral foam to fit inside the base

- Arrange your hearts in the floral foam. Cover the foam with crinkle paper.
Have Fun!
